Taurimu is a Farming business incorporating the many and varied interests and expertise of Margaret Fullerton-Smith. Margaret's lifetime experience with horses, Poultry, as a farmer and professional tailoress, converged to form Taurimu Equine Interests in 1975.22/02/09 In the last 4 years the Poultry section has taken over form the Equine section if the farming enterprise. PLEASE NOTE THE WEBSITE IS HAVING A HUGE REVAMP.

Taurimu Interests, set in New Zealand's Central Hawke's Bay, includes the breeding of Rare Breed Poultry, Welsh Sec B and riding ponies as well as warm bloods,the making of equine clothing for ponies and horses. Also a line of K9 products. very limited teaching of riding now days. Only Riders with own mounts due to Ponies & horse from school reaching retirement age. In the Manawatu Lydia runs the Warmblood section of the Equine breeding & Showing Warm bloods under saddle.

The Taurimu enterprise also includes the opportunity for Working Farm Stays. As well as over night back Packers Accommodation for a small fee.

Margaret has been an experienced show rider, an exhibitor of Ponies.Is a RAS Level One Tutor Judge and is also a member and judge of many breed societies. 22/02/09 I know spend some time Judging, still stand the 2 Stallions to out side Mares. But most of my time is now spent breeding and showing the Poultry.
